Mercoledì nel programma “OutFront” della CNN, il senatore Chris Murphy (D-CT) ha dichiarato la vittoria dell’Iran dicendo che il presidente Donald Trump si è arreso all’Iran.
La presentatrice Erin Burnett ha dichiarato: “Il vostro collega, il senatore repubblicano Bill Cassidy, ha affermato che questo è il peggior errore di politica estera degli ultimi decenni. Voglio dire, siete d’accordo con lui?”
Murphy ha detto: “Beh, ha ragione nel dire che l’intera guerra è il peggior errore di politica estera degli ultimi 20 anni. E questo accordo ne è solo la prova. Voglio dire, questo è un accordo folle. E, beh, potrebbe esserci confusione su quando è stato firmato o eseguito. Non c’è molta confusione su cosa sia l’accordo. Sì, è un pagamento multimiliardario all’Iran in cambio di nulla. Giusto. L’Iran dice, come hai sottolineato, che non otterrà a nuclear weapon. They already made that concession. They’re reopening the strait. It was open before the war. They are agreeing to sit down to nuclear talks. They were willing to sit down in nuclear talks before the war began. So the agreement is basically just we lift oil sanctions and Iran does nothing. That’s it. That’s a humiliation. Now, I’m somebody that wants this war to end basically on any terms. But this is just proof positive that the war got America nothing. Iran won, Trump si è arreso. E questo è essenzialmente ciò che rappresenta questo accordo.
